OUR ARTISTIC STATEMENT

We are Ruiz & Polo, two creators born in Barcelona and currently based between Barcelona and Madrid.

We begin with digital photography of real models and transform each image into a unique printed artwork using a mix of acrylic painting, vector design, and digital composition. Our work focuses on the human body —both masculine and feminine— while also exploring themes such as urban life, music, and the space between the erotic and the absurd.

Each series begins with a question, not an answer. We’re not interested in simply decorating spaces —we aim to provoke dialogue.

Our process is performative: sound, pictorial references, and the atmosphere of each shoot merge into emotional and technical layers. That element of risk is what separates art from ornament —**our pieces are meant to be seen, felt, and even questioned.**

We invite the viewer to decide what they’re truly looking at. Photography becomes painting; the tangible becomes idea. Each piece claims a physical presence where it can continue speaking to those who engage with it.
