HOW DO WE WORK?
As we have said in previous texts, we have specialised in the creation of works focused on the male body, partly because it is our decision, but also because it was this type of creation that opened the doors to exhibitions and even to appearing in the media.
The fact that our work has an important component of male photography and digital art doesn't imply that it is the only subject of our interest. We are also interested in the female body in all its dimensions as well as other elements that we are passionate about, such as big cities or music, especially jazz.
That's why, when it comes to considering a new collection, the first thing we do is decide what we want to transmit, and it's very likely that absurdity and soft eroticism are very present in that first idea. From there we look for artistic references but we also look at images in different media, we look for what could be the soundtrack that accompanies the realisation of the work but that also appears, in some way, in the final result.
We think about the techniques we will use, almost always digital photography, painting or vectorial design, editing programs and very punctually artificial intelligence (all the techniques used are mentioned next to the collection).
From that moment on, we think about the models that will appear and whether those we work with most often are suitable for this new idea or whether we have to look for new ones.
Once everything has been defined, the creative process is a kind of performance where we try to make sure that everything is experienced in an expressive way, that is, that everyone present is connected with what we are doing.
Another of the referential ideas is that of ‘ambiguity’, which translates into obtaining a final result, not in all the works or collections, of course, in which the spectator has to be the one to interpret what they are seeing. We want to question him or her and let him or her be the one to decide what it is that he or she is contemplating, what is happening.
We are aware that a work must have as a minimum condition the fact of being experienced while it is being performed with the same intensity with which we intend to offer it to the public.
Our intention is to be honest with what we want to achieve and to really feel what we want to express.
